This is a companion blog for the podcast where we (Nikki and Jon) watch and review every movie released in 1991. From the all-time greatest classics to the critically panned and everything in between. We will rediscover forgotten fan favorites and explore the direct-to-video depths to find hidden gems. Join us in our celebration of the fun, unique, and diverse films of this highly underrated year.

You may be wondering why we chose 1991 as the subject of our podcast. In 2020, while attending weekly online movie watch parties, we noticed that several of the most enjoyable films were from 1991. That got us looking at the full list of films released that year and we saw so many underrated movies that people and film buffs are talking about less and less. We’re here to change that, one movie at a time.

2021 marks the 30th anniversary of these movies. We will only be able to watch, discuss, and review a small portion of them in our inaugural season, but we plan to stick around for the 31st, 32nd, 33rd.... Even though time is playing forward, we will continue to rewind.
